“Based on comments / requests I've selected May 5 through May 8 for the Death Valley trip. This should be late enough in the season to avoid rain and cold weather, as well as early enough in the season to avoid extremely hot weather”.

For those wishing to camp, the site will probably be near Ballarat. Those staying in a motel will probably do so in Ridgecrest. Motel folks need to be at the Ballarat campsite by 08:00 the next day.
Goler Wash, Barker Ranch, Mengle Pass etc. - Saturday, May 6, 2006
For those wishing to camp, the site will probably be near Rhyolite (or perhaps the road to Titus Canyon). Those staying in a motel will probably do so in Beatty. Motel folks need to be at the Rhyolite campsite by 08:00 the next day.

Motel stay in Lone Pine. Pizza and beer. Wash vehicles.
Head back to San Diego - Monday, May 8, 2006
Of course, the trip will be dependant on Trail Navigator Alex determining the status of the various trails (Goler Wash - Titus Canyon) and a final route / schedule determined later (probably in April).
